Cinzel Decorative Bold est la variante grasse et décorative de la Cinzel de Natanael Gama, un caractère inspiré des inscriptions romaines classiques. Les capitales ont des proportions classiques, avec des O et C larges et des empattements acérés, comme taillés, tandis que les lettres décoratives ajoutent des enjolivures bouclées sur A, N, M, T et d’autres capitales, et que le bas de casse est composé de petites capitales. La graisse forte garde un fort contraste entre pleins et déliés, et les chiffres sont alignés et solides.
L’ambiance est monumentale, avec un parfum de Rome antique, de manuscrits médiévaux et de romans de fantasy. Elle convient aux titres de livres, étiquettes de vin, diplômes, titres de films et de jeux, invitations et titres en capitales, où les enjolivures apportent une touche solennelle. Tout en capitales et fleurie, elle s’emploie avec parcimonie et en lignes courtes, pas en paragraphes.
